How frequently will the information/product be handled?

The answer to this question helps determine the type of material that should be used to produce your product. The more wear-and-tear your application receives, the more durable the packaging must be.

What type of material would work best for your application?

Wear-and-tear is just one factor in choosing materials for your application. Different poly substrates can enhance your packaging and your image in different ways. Here are the two poly materials you can choose between.

Polyethylene is a rigid material that is either opaque or translucent and is available in several surface finishes, thicknesses and colors. It is considered to be one of the most durable materials in existence. Hinges won’t break, the surface won’t wrinkle and these products can withstand severe temperatures swings and exposure to most chemicals. This material enables screening printing, foil stamping or offset printing. Polyethylene is completely recyclable, and can be produced from 100% post-consumer recycled materials.

Polypropylene is one of the most environmentally friendly materials available. Its clarity can produce a clear transparent sheet, the same as rigid PVC material. Material is available in several surface finishes, thicknesses and colors. Surface won’t wrinkle, is weather resistant and withstands exposure to most chemicals. [Note: Polypropylene will fracture when impacted.] This material enables screening printing, foil stamping or offset printing. Polypropylene is completely recyclable.

What types of decoration/artwork would be on the packaging?

Custom decoration makes a statement that enhances your image and reflects the quality of the materials – communicating your message day after day. A wide range of decoration techniques can be applied individually or in combination. Listed below are some of the custom decorations available for your packaging project.

Screen Printing – A wide selection of standard and custom-matched colors can be reproduced in solids, halftones, tints and four-color processes.

Offset Printing – Sheets can be offset printed in one to four-color processes to achieve photographic reproduction.

Foil Stamping – Create a bright, exciting image with gold, silver or colored foils.

What is the budget for this packaging project?

It is suggested not to start with this question, but first list the requirements, then try to fit those specifications and a solution into your budget.
